Robert Palmer, CEO
Robert Palmer founded ProblemSolvers in 1992 with a small team of consultants and programmers to provide business technology solutions for small-to-medium-sized businesses, ranging from the insurance industry to medical billing. With ProblemSolvers’ acquisition of its new dealerships for both SunKnowledgeTM Practice Management Outsourcing Solutions, as well as the GoTelecareTM Secure Telemedicine Platform, Mr. Palmer is bringing the absolute latest in technology to the business of medicine.
Before his current role, Robert served in various technical management positions in the telecommunications industry for BellSouth and AT&T. Robert has co-founded two other companies prior, one specializing in software for the insurance industry, the other a commercial real estate brokerage. Mr. Palmer graduated in 1986 with a degree in Computer Science from Birmingham-Southern College at Birmingham, Alabama. Robert is a past graduate of the Birmingham Chamber of Commerce ‘Project Corporate Leadership’ Class of 2002, and currently serves the board as its Technologies Chairperson.
James Carr, Medical Billing Specialist
James Carr is a pioneer in the field of medical billing with over 40 years experience in the industry in roles focused on Physician Practice Management, Medical Coding, Hospital & Nursing Home Billing, and Durable Medical Equipment leasing. As the prior owner of a DME company, and separately as owner of a medical billing company, Mr. Carr brings particular insight to the highly specialized field of DME Billing. James literally wrote the book on medical coding in the mid-1980’s, and has worked as a consultant to the health insurance industry since then, helping increase net revenue by reducing operating costs and Accounts Receivable.
James earned a degree in Accounting, Economics and Business from Jacksonville University in Jacksonville, Alabama in 1973. He began his career at Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Alabama where he managed the Utilization Review Department responsible for all BC/BS and Medicare prepayment and post-payment claims reviews for nursing homes, hospitals, physician offices, home healthcare agencies, DME suppliers, physical therapists, rehabilitation facilities, psychiatric facilities, dialysis centers and teaching hospitals. Mr. Carr is proud to have had the highest collections rate in the Southeast for 27 years as reported annually by the American College for Emergency Physicians.
